Welcome to Mother Earth,

Welcome to Mother Earth, a shop in North London that sells really good food. If you call it healthy, whole, organic, natural, fair-trade or even– ever so fashionably– “real” then we say it’s all good and we’ve crammed the best of it into our fantastic little shop in lovely, sunny Stoke Newington (that’s N16 in the fine London Borough of Hackney). As well as all that great food, we’ve also somehow found space for a selection of the cream of the health enhancing products for your nutrition, for your well being, for your skin and for your home, and we’re big on good quality water as well. But make no mistake: food is what we do and food is what we love. We’ve been serving the local community since 1990. We’re not part of a chain and we’re not selling a “lifestyle” (although shopping here may change your life…)– in fact, if “real” is your thing then we don’t think you can get much more real than that.

This is our website. Here as an introduction to what, why and where we do what we do. If you have a look around you’ll hopefully get a feel for the shop, as well as for the passion we have for good food, good nutrition and really good health. You’ll find some extra background information on some of the more specialist products we sell, like top quality juicers and water purifiers. Dotted through the site, and collected together at the end for easy access, you’ll also find some useful links to some of the information that informs and inspires us in what we do, and to more sites that will tell you what’s really happening in N16 and beyond.

Note that this website is still pretty new to us (although we have finally arrived in the 21st century!) and it is still growing organically.
